No Shift Stall

Installed a brand new 5.7 MPI Engine with a Series 5 GM ECM. I need to know where and how to hook up the shift stall switch. No one seems to know. Engine runs great but cant shift into either forward or reverse. This is an Alpha 1 outdrive.

Is the computer set up for the Alpha drive, or a Bravo or inboard,..??

The ECM was sent back to be reflashed and when that didn't work they sent me anoth which also didn't work. I need to know what wire goes to the shift switch.

Is this a Mercruiser 555 ECM or an automotive ECM?
