Fast forward to 4:31. This guy puts it in gear and revs the engine to 3800 RPM and leaves it there. Then gets out of the boat to show you the prop.

Let's see..... Spinning prop, potentially wet fiberglass on the stern, and the guys climbing all over it with one hand on a video camera. Sounds like a brilliant chap to me!!

man that just can't be good, with no resistance or load against the motor.

I have never touched a bravo drive, but shouldn't he have had muffs on the lower unit and not just hooked up inside like he did?

Being that carefree in the driveway makes you wonder how he is on the lake.

Nope-a Bravo's raw water pump is on the engine- nothing in the L/U.

Having no load shouldn't matter if the revs are kept down. The problems with running with no load are the great potential for over-revving, and the lack of cooling water on the leg especially in the propshaft area (not sure I stated that clearly ).

Unless it goes BOOM or CRUNCH it's all good eh!;)

... and even if it does go BOOM or CRUNCH he'll have learned a valuable lesson and it won't be any skin off of our noses eh!?

... and there'll be one less "waker" on the water to disturb our fishin' while he's getting it fixed!!!:D

That's no test to see how well the boat runs!

I am glad I was not the only one that thought this was crazy! Did anyone read to the one comment on the Video page? Pretty funny.
