Need info. to adjust throttle cable 1989 omc 5.7 cobra

Can anybody direct me to a link for the throttle cable adjustment procedure for my 1989 OMC 5.7 cobra with 4 barrel quadra jet?
I just adjusted my in gear idle to 575 rpm's with the fast idle screw but now I would like to make sure the throttle cable is properly adjusted to the new idle setting.
Is threr a way I can tell if the throttle cable needs adjusting to this new idle setting.
The old in gear idle setting was a bit low about 475 rpm so I just tweaked it up a bit and now my idle is a bit smoother.
My in neutral not in gear idle is 675 RPM now
I have a Clymers manual but it doesn't give the throttle cable adjustment procedure.

Ayuh,... The throttle cable has to be adjusted so's it's holding light tension against the actuator arm, against the throttle stop screw....
