I just took my recoil apart and realized why it wasn't working. My recoil spring is broken! Where can I get one of those? Thanks in advance for all your help, this forum has gotten my grandpa's old motor running again, and I really appreciate it.

Where is it broken? If its just towards the end, you may well be able to fix it with a little heat and care in bending to the correct shape.

marineengine.com list them under the magneto group...looks like they're still available from the dealer as well
