Mercury Outboard leaking water???

I started up my boat for the first time out of the water today. I noticed water running out from the outdrive close to the stern. Is this normal?? I have attached 2 photos of this. I've never seen water coming from this part of an outdrive before (or never paid attention to it). Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

Just for terminology sake in the future.
1. It's Not an outboard, it's an outdrive
2. It's Not a Mercury, it's a Mercruiser

Those ports you pictured are called idle relief ports. Allows the engine to idle without all the back pressure in the exhaust from going out through the prop.

Just to clarify, it's not an outboard, it's either called a sterndrive, or outdrive.
An outboard is the complete engine and drive hanging off the outside of the boat with nothing inside.
