I have converted from a points distributor to a HEI EST iginition (got a deal on a whole wiring harness + distributor and alternator setup). I have it running, set initial timing etc., but wanted to confirm the shift interrupt wiring.
I am almost positive that the EST sends a 12V signal to the distributor over the white/green cable to cut the ignition as opposed to grounding the coil like the old setup. That's what it looks like from the wiring diagram and what I vaguley remember reading here (but can't find). Just wanted to double check with the experts before I wire it up/test it out.
