Tilt motor runs, but nothing happens.

Hello. Has anyone had this happen to their motor? I have a 75 hp Merc 4-stroke. The tilt motor sounds like it's running fine, but the motor does not move up or down.

Also, if I need to get to a mechanic, is there a way to manually raise the motor? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

check to see if it has hydrolic fluid in it if not theres a leak repair would then have to be made. The cylinder would be airbound

Check the fluid. Fill as needed. It may have a bad seal also.
If you must get it up manually try this, run the pump going up and have someone lift the motor at the same time. Once up make sure you use the transom saver to lock it in the up position.
