What kind of fluid for trim unit?????

Sorry for the lame question, I honestly have not one maunal to look this up in.

I have a trim unit that is low, where do I add the fluid and what kind?

Ayuh,... ATF, or motor oil will work...

I prefer ATF...

Donno what pump ya got, but look for a couple of 1/4" screws along the front, should be a "Fill", 'n "Vent"...

Since I boat in warm weather not cold weather I use motor oil. I believe the manual says motor oil.
I use 30w. If you have any weepy cylinders add alittle power punch.

Thanks guyy. SAE30 it is . What was in there was NOT red otherwise I would have used ATF.
