I have this 1985 2hp evinrude. I got the gas flowing and the pull starter working but it won't spark. I got a new spark plug and it still won't start. What should i check/do.
Points may be dirty/oxidized, pull the flywheel and clean or replace the points as necessary. Point gap is 0.020" and flywheel nut torque is 20-22 ft lbs.
