I'm rewiring a 1981 Boston Whaler 'Outrage' V-20 and relocating the batteries to the cockpit. I've made the cockpit tippable (like a truck cab) to get access to the wiring and batteries when necessay.
The distance from the twin Mercury 1981 90HP O/B's is 15 feet for one engine and 20 feet for the other. I need the guage of wire to run between the batteries and O/B's that can take the starting amperage and charging.
I believe that the starter motor is also the charger and is always connected to the motor, but I'm not 100% sure.
Thanking you in advance....
