Shift Cable thread size?

Hey Guys,

Removed my engine and noticed the shift cable was in a poor state, as were the bellows which were perished. Decided to replace the lot. (Alpha one unit)

When I removed the old shift cable from the housing the brass fitting ripped part of the thread out. I have brought a new shift cable and I am happy that just re-tap the housing and get a good fixing. The only problem is I do not have a clue what the thread size is etc..... I assume its UNF...?

Anyone know...?

Cheers Peter

Re: Shift Cable thread size?

The description in your link is right, but the picture is of a regular NPT tapered tap.
