1959 Sportwin 10hp Spark Plugs???

Just got a '59 Sportwin to rebuild. Not quite sure on which spark plugs I should use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you much. Also, do these take the same type spark plug wires as the '59 Fisherman???

Howdy.

Welcome to iboats. :)

The original equipment was Champion J4J, now J4C. That is what I would use.

Newer spec is for Champion J6C, a slightly hotter plug less likely to foul at trolling speeds.

Either one should be gapped at .030".

JB: thanks much for the assist! Just got done rebuilding my first Evinrude, '59 Fisherman 5.5 Hp!!!!! Enjoyed it so much decided to make it a hobby. Been following the forum for quite a while and feel very comfortable tackling this new hobby with all the help I can find here.
