Have a 77' Evinrude 55hp, Will a 75' Johnson 50ESL75B midsection fit?

Ive been looking and comparing part numbers and most things match.

1977 Evinrude 55HP 55773D
1975 Johnson 50HP 50ESL75B

But Im stumped when It comes to part number 61 on these schematics. P/N's don't match and there are two diffrent 61's.

FOR 1977 Evinrude 55HP

Can someone let me know if this total midsection from a 1975 50HP Johnson will fit on my 1977 55HP Evinrude?

How about the lower unit casting are they the same part number and what about the power head castings? If they are I willing to bet that it will work. It looks like the tab at the front of the mid section is the difference.

I just checked the part numbers

The gearcase both match. 0392196
But there are no part numbers for both powerheads to check. But the adapter plates part numbers both match so I think it will work.

Thanks for pointing out the small TAB there in the schematics. What is that TAB for?
