My trim fuse blows when trying to operate the trim. This only happens when the boat is in the water. It works fine on the trailer.

The way the PO had the normal big battery cables that are easy to identify. There are two more wires that hook up to the battery. These are easily reversed and have been reversed earlier this season. One small (yellow) wire goes to what appears to be a ground block. The other (red/black??) wire goes to a fuse block for the bilge pump.

Please help regarding getting my trim to work while wet. Why would it work on the trailer and not while in the water? Thanks in advance!

Which fuse is blowing?

What is the full model number or serial number, of your engine? need that to find the correct wiring diagram for your engine and drive.

Thanks for replying!

1. The 10A "trim control" fuse is blowing. It is located in the fuse box that sits on top of the engine block.
2. Model number 4.3GL-G year 2006 Engine Serial Number: 4012201864
