You can buy the sw from any BRP Evinrude dealer. The cable is usually available on Ebay. You will also need a USB/serial adapter if your laptop doesn't have a real serial port. KEYSPAN USA-19HS adapter works with Win XP. If your using Win Vista or Win 7 operating systems, I would suggest talking to BRP custromer service for their recommendation for an specific adapter, BC the Keyspan device (and many others) will not work.
I purchased this software today from BRP and they had the cable as well. My laptop has the serial port so hopefully I should be good, and once this software is loaded, should it just work or do I need something else to activate it?
