Is there a difference between a OMC 13 3/4 x 15p thru hub exhaust 15 spline prop and a mercury outboard prop same diameter?I am looking at purchasing a stainless steel prop off of ebay for my 1978 90hp Mercury inline 6 (4 1/2 inch gearcase).

looking it up in the prop store there is a V6 gearcase and V4 the V4 is the same number as thje merc.

Ayuh,... In my experince, Merc's don't have as long a spline...
A Johnnyrude prop will fit on a Merc, but a Merc prop won't slide onto a johnnyrude shaft far enough...

So if I am understanding this correct the OMC prop with a 15 spline shaft will fit my 78 inline 6.The gentleman gave me a number off of the prop P664 which I dont have any idea on where to start looking what this is.Sorry for the ignorance I figured for a $60.00 stainless steel prop I would do some searching to see if this fits.

Ayuh,... It Should,... Only really 1 way to know for absolute Sure...

The hub, 'n hardware may, or may not need swappin' about as well...
