Hello! I am seeking info ref. my 1988 checkmate boat with 115hp mercury outboard motor. When I took boat out today, went to throttle up engine, the boat speed up to 20mph, would not plane out with trim. the boat went to about 6200rpm and boat just did not want to get out of its own way......I put a new prop on which Im not sure if its part of the problem. prop I bought was 12 3/4 x 21-rh. prop was purchased per specs on mercury. Do you think it could be a spindle or lower end gear problem. Thanks for all your help.
