If you draw a line across the hub of the prop to the barrel, when you run and not hit anything......should the line be broken? If this does happen, is it a indication of the prop needing to be repacked? If it is ok....how much slip would be normal? Cleaned off the carbon and noticed mine had changed.....moved about a inch. Not sure if it has gone full circle or not, but it's not lined up. Have not hit anything since I re-marked it.

Re: Hub slip question

If it ever moves you need to get it rehubbed. It may only slip a little now but one day in will let go when you need it the most...

It isn't really worth getting them fixed. You can probably replace for the same amount as fixing

Buttt, yes you are onto the correct method of determining that you have a hub slippage problem.

Re: Hub slip question

i recently had a prop rehubbed for less than $70.... thats a lot less than a new stainless prop. and no it really should not slip at all.
