1990 Evinrude 25HP --Tell Tale takes a few minutes to flow. Normal? VE25ELESE 1990

I just bought a 25hp outboard. Nice engine--fires right up, runs smooth. Only issue is she doesn't start pissing right away...more like 2 minutes of running. I have a newer 90hp Merc that starts telltale after just a few seconds.

Is this a water pump/impeller going bad or do these older Evinrude engines not start pissing until thermostat gets to temp?

VE25ELESE 1990 is model. I'm trying to find a good manual as I'm not all that mechanically savvy, but no such luck yet. If anyone knows a good source, perhaps I'll find my answer there too. .

Thanks for the suggestion...i just bid on that manual. I've heard the OEM manuals are worth the money (vs. the generic ones).

Hopefully it'll walk me through the impeller change without much grief (along with info on this site). Thanks!
