Hi all. i need a little help. I was given an Evinrude model # BFL4TS foot operated trolling motor.I only want to run it on 12 volts right now. I need to know which wires i need to use. It has 1 red,1 black and 1 white wire. I don't want to toast the windings by trial and error. If i assume the black wire is ground ,which of the other ones should i use? i will go to 24 volts next season as my boating budget is done for the year. Thanks in advance for any help.
