I recently acquired this boat from a family member, after extensively searching the internet i believe i have a 1969 fiberorm, but unfortunately besides the length that is the extent of it, everything from the motor to the to the helm assembly has been removed,it still has the key in it lol, and the seats,it's restorable.

Does anyone know about this year of fiborform boats

Re: hi i have 1969 fiberform, have some questions

There were HUNDREDS of manufacturers of fiberglass runabouts in the 50s and 60s with some only producing a handful of boats. Chances aren't real good that anyone on here is going to have the same boat but there's lots of similar ones. Throw up some pics of your project and some more specific questions and the help will be sure to follow. Welcome to iboats. Also check out http://www.fiberglassics.com/ cuz if anywhere is going to have info on your boat, it would be there.

Usually on the back of the boat (Transom) there is a Plate (HIN) Hull Identification Number It will give you the specs for the boat and tell you what the maximum HP rating is for the boat. I would GUESS it will be around 80-90 HP

Shawn,

I have a 1965 16' Fiberform. It is rated for a 90HP motor and currently has an 85HP merc outboard sitting on the back. My buddy recently purchased an mid-seventies 18' Fiberform I/O with a 140 HP mercruiser. Both boats seem to have fairly heavy hulls. My boat performed great in rough water while crabbing in the Puget Sound area where I live.

I need to tear into it now, as it is going to need a new deck, stringers and transom.

If you do enough searching on Google, you can find a fair amount of info on these boats. I can tell you that the company was based in Spokane, WA, and was bought by Bayliner in the early 80's.

Hope this gives you some info-
Kevin
