Hi all.
I just purchased an Eagle FishMark 480 fish finder. There is one setting I don't understand. It's called Temperature 2.
Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the board.

Some units can have several sensors. I have never seen one come with more than one temperature sensor.
Most units have a temperature sensor in the transom mount tranduscer for water surface temperature.

Some also install a temperature in their Live Well or bait well.
Also some install a engine temperature sensor.

Each unit is different so you need to check your manual for details.

from the owners manual

These units can accept additional temperature sensors which can be
used to monitor the temperature of surface water, a live well or some
other location. The SeaCharter 480DF can accept as many as three
temperature sensors, and the FishElite 480 can accept as many as two.

So what don't you understand? The standard unit monitors surface temp if the transducer includes the temp sensor. If you don't have any other sensors the setting will read "0"

If I had a second temp. sensor how would I hook it up to the unit?

Thank you R\A for the link. Now I understand. The transducer has a build in temp. sensor already. I thought there is only one in the speed sensor and was wondering where the second one should hook up to. Live and learn :)
