When I try to accelerate in forward my motor will not go above 3000rpm. In neutral and reverse it does fine...only in forward. And sometimes when I'm idling in forward it will knock and rev up for a second. Motor problem or lower unit? Any ideas?
Also, when I put it in reverse (with the motor off) I can't spin the prop at all. When I put it in forward, the prop will not spin left but it spins freely to the right making a clicking sound as it spins. Shouldn't it not move at all?
