I have a 350 inboard and when we went to start it, there is no spark to the distributor cap. We took off the middle wire to check for spark and nothing.
Everything else is fine.
We have 3 coils and replaced them and checked them all. Still no spark.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Bro Chris...

Re: No Spark

Need to be a tad more specific.
Did you try replacing the middle wire?
Did you check all wires and connections to the coil?
Are you using a meter to check all the wiring?
Did you try adding a second ground wire from battery to engine block?

Re: No Spark

Do you have any voltage between the positive side of the coil and the block when the key is on?

Re: No Spark

IS THIS A POINTS TYPE DISTRIBUTOR? I HAD A SIMILAR SITUATION WITH MY BOAT. THE POINTS COULD BE BAD, CLOSED UP, OR EVEN A FAULTY CONDENSOR.
