Dole trim n tilt instructions

I have aquired an old Dole trim-n-tilt manual hydraulic tilt unit I plan to install it on a merc 25. Does anyone know if the engine just rests against the draw bar or is it attached?, what fliud this unit uses? any chance any one has intructions for this unit.
It's a sp500 any help would be great.

It just rests on the tilt bar.

You have to be very careful reversing since the engine needs to be "unlocked" to allow the tilt unit to work.
