need help...omc 1987 fourwinns 4.3 cobra

hello I bought this boat in parts, when i got it together it runs but will not shut off unless i unplug the alternator....problem I have looked it over very well and can not see where any wires maybe crossed. does anyone have a wire diagram for this boat? many other wire diagram i have found do not match close enough to see the problem. thanks jim hin number is 4wnmx661e787 it is a deck boat candia 200 1987 4.3 cobra 4bbl carb it only has three wires on the alternator. thanks jim

well it is fixed. for anyone else this happens too, the fix was installing a light bulb between the small wire at the alternator and the plug to the alternator. the diode is most likely to be the real problem but 175.00 for a alternator this is much cheaper fix. the bulb must act like a diode...?
