I have a Yamaha 200 Pro V outboard. I removed the cover on the lower end to paint the bottom area. The cover I removed was plastic and had springs that I had to push very hard to put it back together. What was I doing and could I have caused a problem with the lower end now. We had to press very hard to get both sides back togther and all of a sudden they popped in place(we think) what is this and did I cause a problem. again it is a small plastic cover the says Pro v on it, and it is spring loaded when you remove it. Help Please. ChiliKing...............

Re: lower end repair

No big deal, just cosmetic cover for motor mounts, you could live without them.
