1195 225 mercury

i have a 1995 mercury efi that high revs at cold start up and sputters and caughs when in gear and sometimes stalls out like it is starving for fuel...i put the boat on plane and drive for about a half a mile then its good for the rest of the day...what would cause this???i have changed entire fuel system and throttle controll sensor and plugs did not help

adjust your air mixture screw when cold it may be to rich or too lean and will work when engine reaches normal operating tempature turm in half a turn or until engine starts to run lower then turn out until it runs smooth and the missing dissapears. (at cold temp) if it starts at normal temp adjust accordingly
