mariner two five help please

Hi all im new so be jentle please,

i have been given an old mariner two five outboard but i dont know what model or year it is.
it only has mariner two five on the outside cowling and 2.3 on a lable in the lifting hand grip on the front.

i want to service it and get it running but without the year and model i am stuck.

ps where is a good place to order parts for this ?

Somplace on the motor,usually a silver plug on the motor or a decal someplace.A pic always is helpfull.They sell parts here and for the hard to find parts boats.net But you will have to have the right #s or you'll be guessing like we are.J

A bit of an update,
it seem this was made by brunswick although it is probably a rebadged yamaha and dates from about 1993

The closest that I was able to get it was a model 7002201 and here is a link to all of them:

Certainly gives you something to weed through in your spare time to see what one yours may be.

Is there any chance that you might locate a disc like this on the powerhead for a s/n?
