After a 9 month review, an operational and safety redo, and a change to the route, the City of Philadelphia has allowed the Duck boat concession to return to business in the Philadelphia Harbor. According to media reports, its time on the water has been reduced by 2/3 and they are not allowed to sail if there is commercial traffic in the area. There is also a small rescue vessel on stand by on-site just to respond to an emergency call from the duck boat operation.

Let's hope they tightened things up and the rest of us on the water gives them their space because we don't want to see this picture again.

There was a tragic duck boat accident here several years ago. Can't remember exactly why, but the thing flipped and many drowned, several of them little ones.

There's a "harbor" in Philadelphia? Since when? It's a big ol' river, not a harbor! ;)
