2001Johnson 70HP motor cuts out

I have a pair of 2001 J70PLSIS motors on a houseboat. It seems that the motors do not like to idle. They start just fine and after about 1-2 minutes they will cut out. When docking, going from forward to reverse they tend to die as well. I have cleaned out all the carbs and used the parts from the rebuild kit. Is there somewhere I can get the step by step to adjust the carbs and check timing?

The best place to get that info is OEM service
Manual. It will cover step by step carb set up
timing adjustment, link & sinc. Idle RPM.
