I have a 2004 Volvo Penta 4.3L GL-D with an SX-M outdrive. Year before last I hit a stump and bent the prop shaft. I took it in and had it repaired. Since that time the boat has been over heating. Repair shop said there is nothing they could have done to cause it to over heat. I have replaced impeller, thermostat, circulation pump, and intake manifold. Each time I have replaced an item I tested it to see if it would over heat. Each time it would not. Upon taking it out it would over heat. I have a new mechanic looking at it and he took the lower unit off and found that the pick up tube and rubber gasket were not installed correctly. We thought this was going to be the problem. Now that this repair has been made upon testing the boat the temp runs at around 210. I have replaced the temp gauge twice and have a manual one in now. Mechanic seems to think the cylinder head is cracked. There is no water in the oil. Not sure what more details I can give.
