I bought another prop for my 89 Evinrude 150. After putting it on I noticed that the prop just barely scraped on one side. After some investigation is seems it's not being centered quite perfectly as there's a little slop from the thrust washer to the prop. The washer fits perfectly with about .002 movement in the old prop but more like .008 to .010 in the new one just enough that if it's not centered perfectly when it's tightened down it will scrape. I'm assuming that even that little bit should throw it off balance or am i being overly cautious on this.
