but the only way I could wire my trim motor up was to wire the solenoids up to a momentary switch . I tryed wiring a new switch , new wires , new solenoids , and relays but the only way I could get anything to work was to just wire a switch straight to the solenoids .. so whats issues am I looking at if I keep it like this ... I have no sparks jumping having it wired like this and I also installed an inline fuse....

sounds like the lead POS or a disconnected ground may be the problem find the lead to the main switch and test for power also try hooking the ground to a better source the ground may be broken or disconnected eleswhere

try grounding the tilt unit and pump to the battery negative cable and try it again. also it is a pssibility that you bought a defective part try the old parts one at a time to find out which one it is. and is your tilt switch in the throttle? on the engine?
