Can a Volvo 3.0l be swaped with MERCRUISER,OMC 3.0L

Hello,
This is what i have .....1995 3.0L Volvo/Penta "Cobra" 4 cyl 135HP Stern Drive.The block is cracked so out it comes. I was told i could use this......1993.MERCRUISER,OMC 3.0L. I want to leave the out drive alone and do a swap is this possible?

Ayuh,... The basic Long Block should be the same, Yes..
