98 model bayliner capri 3.0 alpha one generation two. I replaced the gimbal bearing and the bellows last fall. And I noticed a very small leak where the drive shaft goes into the upper housing. I should've replaced it, but I didn't. The reservoir has gotten lower over the winter. But there is no oil on the floor or in the hull. So I assume it is leaking into the bellows and staying there.
Should I be concerned about this? If I just keep the level full what will eventually happen. Will it leak through the gimbal bearing and will that hurt the bearing?
I've only taken this boat out one time since I've owned it. I really don't feel like working on it till fall if it won't hurt anything.
Thanks a lot for any input.
