Year lookup

So before posting, I did try finding this myself, through the links provided, no luck. It's a 18xd and from the only thing I found, it's a canadian motor. Serial number 7218926. Thanks

well I was told it was 18hp and I assumed that's what the 18xd stood for.

If it is a Canadian engine and an 18XD, it comes up as:

18 1984 MXD 6443973 - 6617630 7209533

The 6443973-6617630 is the range of American built engines and the 7209533 is the first Canadian one built in 1984. The first Canadian one built in 1985 was 7219868. Yours being between the two makes it a 1984.

I appreciate the help guys. Going to order the manual and I need a cowling decal, the old one is almost non existent.
