1974 10hp 102HA won't start keeps gas fouling the plugs.... had the plugs out today when I squeezed the primer ball and heard air and seen fuel coming out the spark plug holes.... seems that fuel is going directly into the cylinders from the fuel pump ... is this possible and will rebuilting the fuel pump stop it???

Sounds like the fuel pump diaphragm is torn or perforated. Easy job and only a couple of bucks to replace it. You can use a diaphragm from a 9.9 through 15 Force engine, at your Mercury dealer or possibly here on iboats store.
