i have a merc200 serial 2251845 . think it a 67 or 68 . took it to boat mech cause it would not fire after being stored. he told me it would cost over $300 just to fix ignition . i have book starting with 72 models but not the older ones. does this engine just have points, condenser and coils? do you need any special tools to get to them? it ran great till this. i thinking maby a little over $100 in parts to get my old baby back chasing fish!somebody told me there is a free pdf download for this engine but i could not find it!
