Hello,
I'm trying to get my 1972 50hp Johnson Hydro Electric shift to work. I noticed when I opened the housing to the shift soleniod that there is fluid in there...is it normal for that to have fluid in that portion of the housing?
The problem I'm having is that it's stuck in forward...from what I understand, that is normal as it's a fail safe. I did change the fluid with a type "C" fluid.
