Gale Bucaneer 5hp fuel mix help??

Does anyone know the proper mix ratio for a 1956 Gale 5hp Bucanner?

A book I have suggests 24:1 but says it could also be 50:1 for an OMC outboard.

24:1 is correct as verified by the Gale Factory Service Manual. Or 16:1 if you go by the original spec. If that book says 50:1 for a 1956, I suggest you use that page for toilet paper.
