What is the name of the screw stop located on the port side just under the flywheel in a 1993 120 hp 4 cylinder evinrude?
(I have gone through the manual over and over, but I just can't find a picture of it)
My engine has been having trouble idling and I noticed that the bracket holding the wire coming from the stator (going to the powerpack) is bent so that it contacts the stop screw early. I am wondering if this could be keeping the motor from idling. It starts and idles for a few seconds fine, then suddenly dies. I am guessing that it is killed when the quickstart changes..... does this make any sense?
