Redundant Fuses on Sonar Power Lead

Hello,

I am in the process of installing Structure Scan on my Lund Tyee. The dealer installed the HDS module before the sale. When I was under the console, I noticed that they used the inline 3 amp fuse and then ran that to the fuse block behind a 5 amp fuse.

This seems redundant. To clean it up while I am there, I would like to remove the inline 3 amp fuse and put the 3 amp in place of the 5 amp.

Does anyone see an issue with this? Common sense tells me to use the fuse block since that is what it is designed for.

Thanks,

Filo.

You are correct in your plan. Second fuse is not necessary.

Thank you very much Mr. Silvertip. I was fairly certain, but it doesn't hurt to be sure. Have a great day.
