towing weight for a 175 pt tracker with a 75hp.?

I'm thinking of getting a smaller truck and want to know if a 4 cylinder GM product can pull a 2005 pt175 tracker with a 75 mercury motor? The boat weighs 1000 lbs with nothing added.
Just thought someone may have already had this issue with gas at $3.50 plus.

Wish I could give you a better answer, but not sure if underpowered truck would do any better on gas towing. Would do better when not towing. Mine pulls easy, and if you are not in a hurry, I don't know why a 4 cyl wouldn't pull it.
