Hello,
I would like to clean the outside of my 2000 Volvo Penta 7.4 GI. I'd like to spray some simple green degreaser and hose it down. I'm concerned about water getting in the wrong places so I wanted to ask for suggestions of wheat to cover up. My plan is to cover alternator, distributor, air intake/throttle body, and the box on the starboard side that contains the main breaker and fuses. Are there other areas I should be avoiding getting wet? Or should I scrap the hose idea and wipe down the engine as best I can?
