I have a 2004 Nissan 25hp C3 2 stroke.Im thinking on converting to eletric start. It has the starter mount and flywheel there.and I dont need to charge the battery.Im thinking all I need is a starter, button and battery, plus wires ? Not sure if its that easy ?Nissan dealer said Im looking at $ 1000.to convert that motor .and when converted can I still use pull cord if battery dead ?
Thanks

Yes, the rope recoil starter would still work.

Not that easy and closer to $600.00.

You would order

3P0763000M, ELECTRIC START KIT F TYPE, $579.20
398760830M, ACTUATOR, NEUTRAL SWITCH, $7.47
346760820M, PLATE, NEUTRAL SWITCH, $3.43

Unless your motor is already a remote-control (but pull start) model. In that case, you would need
3P0760000M, ELECTRIC START KIT P TYPE, $579.20

from any Tohastu/Nissan dealer, including me (we do ship from Buffalo to Canada). Also a good idea to get the Factory service manual at the same time.

I converted my 2008 15c to electric for about $250.00, new after-market starter on EBAY and all the rest directly from Nissan. Shop around for prices....buy a manual.

Nissan does not sell direct... Not that it makes any difference.

$ 600. does seem a bit much but better than $1000.
I think getting a manual is a good start right now.
Thanks everybody

Make sure you get the Factory service manual, as the aftermarket products aren't nearly as comprehensive nor complete.

Any dealer that sells online can help you. We also ship from Buffalo to Ontario all the time.
