Oil tank removal

greetings.

2000, 150 hp, yamaha 2 stoke.

I'm trying to clean the oil screen or pickup in the oil tank. What is the process?. I tried pulling the tubes from the tank but i'm afraid something is going to break. any help appreciated.

Lisa, thanks for your reply. I trying to remove the tank in the boat that holds the 2 stoke oil. I holds about 2 gallons.

Does any know the basics about removing the tank, or cleaning the pickup screen in the the oil tank.

1. Do you pull the hoses out of the tank first. It seems stuck?
