Mercruiser 3L I/O getting louder

My 1999 Mercruiser 3L I/O Alpha one Gen 2 seems to be getting louder just like a car with a bad muffler. This boat is in the saltwater 24/7 could the exhaust manifold have deteriorated from the salt water and cause it to be louder? Anyway to check them besides pulling them? Other thoughts?

You have a loose manifold or a bad gasket on the manifold?That will make it louder.Fill out the profile.You might be close to someone who can help.Jerry

The outdrives exhaust bellows coming loose or being torn up can also cause it to be louder.
