Hi guys, i have a 2004 Yamaha 200hp HPDI and continue having problems with the VST tank and its filter. Last year i changed the VST tank filter, the metal filter, the paper element filter and the water seperator on the boat and it drove great for a big portion of the season until i started getting hesitation at the end. I removed the filter from the VST tank today and the filter inside the tank had 2-3 yellowish bloches on it. It looks like it formed from water getting into the VST tank. Anyone have any clues on what i should do cause i have a feeling its the fuel tank's humidity getting through the water seperator. Thx!!

Re: VST Tank's Filter Question....

welcome to ethanol fuel...cleaning out the vst should be done yearly. as well as the filters you mentioned. I think there is a filter in the fuel pump in the VST..i have heard of others that removed it and fixed their problem.
