I am looking at buying a 86 bayliner 16 Capri with a 140hp Volvo penta. I know nothing about this boat or engine. Please provide me with any info that you may have!

Post some pics

The engine ID tag should be attached to the block on the starter mount boss.

A boat of that vintage should be checked carefully for rotten wood.
